Write an outreach message that sounds human

Last verified 2026-07-14

A useful first message earns a reply by making relevance obvious. It does not need to explain the whole product or prove every claim.

  1. Open with a real reason you chose this person or company.
  2. Name one problem or outcome that fits their role.
  3. Add one short proof point only when you can support it.
  4. End with one simple question that is easy to answer.
  • Prefer plain words over jargon, superlatives, and fake familiarity.
  • Keep personalization factual. Never invent a trigger, relationship, or result.
  • Ask for a conversation only after the message gives a credible reason for one.
