Follow up without sounding pushy
Last verified 2026-07-14
A follow-up should add context, not repeat the first message with more pressure. Give the person time and make every touch useful on its own.
- Change the angle: add a relevant observation, example, question, or useful resource.
- Keep the thread short. Do not resend the full pitch in every step.
- Space touches across sensible working days and respect each account's safety limits.
- Use more than one channel only when the identity and context are consistent.
- Stop immediately after an opt-out, a clear no, or a signal that the person is not a fit.
Silence is not permission to increase pressure. A calm final note that closes the loop is better than an endless sequence.
